New Year's Day 2019 saw me undertake the most adventurous walk of my time on Tenerife. This brought plenty of steep slopes for me to traverse along with a scary section by the sea along with a healthy helping of solitude. Before all of those and even throughout any episodes of ardour, there was plenty of time for admiring scenes like the one captured in the above photo and there were plenty of those to detain one's attention.

The scene here was encountered on the path leading from the road leading from Igueste de San Andrés and towards Lomo de la Zapata and beyond. Naming the various summits included in the photo proves challenging and needs cross-referencing of different maps just as navigating through the area did at the time. None of that prevented me from admiring whatever pleasing sights were to be found there, and that easily is enough to encourage me to go on these excursions.
