Domkyrkan, Domkyrkoplan, Göteborg, Sweden

While I stick with its Swedish name in this album, we also know Sweden’s second city in English as Gothenburg. Getting to that from Goteborg (pronounced yota-bory as far as I know) is something that appears mysterious, but it may reflect the mix of peoples with their different languages around the Baltic. That is my impression until I hear a more detailed explanation.

The photos that you find here come from a short visit that used a high speed SJ train service for a return trip from Stockholm. Looking at a map now, it seems that my wandering did not need to go too far in order to reach more natural surroundings. Even so, I contented myself with built-up heritage like the city’s main cathedral in the sunshine.
