Lake Mälaren, Södertälje, Sweden

The city of Södertälje sits on or near a southern bay of Lake Mälaren, so a warm sunny evening was enough to lure me out towards this very large area of fresh water that has the island archipelago city of Stockholm abutting its eastern shores. If my memory is not failing me, the photo you see above was taken near the point where I turned to return to my hotel. Despite appearances, the sun was not near setting as such a scene in the U.K. would suggest. Being so far north, the summer evenings last a while longer and felt a deal warmer too though that may be a feature of its location not far from the Baltic Sea where continental climatic conditions prevail.
