Långängen-Elfviks Nature Reserve, Lidingö, Stockholm, Sweden

During my 2017 visit to Sweden, I based myself on Lidingö even if it was around 5 km away from Stockholm’s city centre. Getting an Access travel card and charging it up for seven days was enough to make using buses, trams and trains very easy to use as I went around the area. In fact, the photo that you see above was captured somewhere that was only a tram ride and a short hike away. There even was a tram stop at the end of the walk, so appearances are deceptive here. The scene may suggest that urban living is very far away when in fact such a thing is very near at hand.
