So near is Geneva's airport to the city that the train journey is a short one. Handily, my flight home was at a convenient time too, so I had the chance for one last walk about the city before ending my trip there in September 2015. This is one of two photos from that walkabout in the morning sunshine while cycling commuters zipped along cycle lanes at speed; it was a time to have one's wits about them or there could be an unwanted collision. After all, those speeding along on their bikes probably had one thing on their minds and it more about getting to work on time, some possibly in one of the offices by the Rhône that you see in the photo, rather than taking in all that surrounded them, which is what I was doing. It was a juxtaposition of the leisured traveller and the bustle of everyday work from which I momentarily had taken leave.
