Here is a close-up view of something that you have seen from a distance in other photos in this album. If you want to get a sense of the scale here. Look for the yellow and grey ski lift station near the both left of the picture. If anything can confirm the scale of these places, it should be that, and I even spotted a red mountain hut further along the way towards Rimpfischorn. The three snow-slabbed eminences all are around 4000 metres in height, which may explain why the snow and ice remained during the summer of 2015 when temperatures in Geneva often were around 30° C. By the time of my visit in September, the weather was cooler and that suited me for I wanted to walk among Alpine mountains like the ones that you see here.
