Wetterhorn & Mättenberg, Grindelwald, Bernese Oberland, Switzerland

This is one of the sights that more than compensated for the Eiger's cloudy shroud. Certainly, the multiple pinnacles of the Wetterhorn really took my fancy. Mättenberg, the nearer mountain, looks no less impressive in this sighting from near Brandegg while en route from Grindlewald to Kleine Scheidegg. There are hills or mountains that I almost cannot stop viewing while out walking and these were two with Skiddaw in Cumbria also coming to mind as a British example. Another good thing is that they also stopped me going too fast, never a bad thing at altitude.
