Black Mountains, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales

After seeing a few views of the Sugar Loaf from below, here is one from the top of the mountain itself. The photo above captures the view to the north over the Black Mountains. One of the features of the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park is that while they are not as high as some Welsh hills, the local climate and their round-topped topography of featureless moorland means that they need to command respect, especially since it can be easy to get lost among them.
