Crug Hywel, Crickhowell, Powys, Wales

The beauty of Britain and Ireland is that turning your camera another way allows a different picture to be made and so it is here; the previous picture of the Sugar Loaf was taken from nearly the same place. What you see here is a view of the town of Crickhowell and the hills behind it. Crickhowell takes its name from the nearby hill of Crug Hywel, otherwise known as Table Mountain. Its nickname should allow you to find it above, beside the bulk of Pen Cerrig-calch, and explain how it came to be the site for an Iron Age fort.
