Unlike other castles in this album, there is very little left of Castell Dinas Brân. What remains instead is its vantage point near Llangollen and the views that the short climb grants you of the surrounding area. Those of the shapely hills of Llantysilio Mountain grabbed my attention on my first visit there around a decade ago. There also is the rocky backdrop to a section of Offa's Dyke Path National Park if those were not enough. The remaining ruins of the castle can be made out from all around in spite of their much diminished state and, given what they lack in preservation, those surrounding panoramas provide more than enough compensation.
