Castell Dinas Brân, Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales

This misty image of Castell Dinas Brân was captured of a Sunday morning in January 2014, but I headed off on an out and back walk that took in Moel y Gamelin. The air was frosty after the night before, but the sun stayed all day and temperatures even warmed up enough for me to dispense with clothing layers for a while during the afternoon. There is little left of that Welsh stronghold now but what remains makes its appearance in the above photo as if to show what the human eye can discern and how much it adds to the nearby town as a place of interest.
