Creigiau Eglwyseg from Castell Dinas Brân, Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales

One of the striking features of the landscape to the north of Llangollen is the line of limestone cliffs extending for several miles from Trefor to the dramatically named World's End. A stretch of the Offa's Dyke Path national trail passes close to them too, giving some pause for thought with a narrow path crossing steep slopes; at least, there is no water underneath as is the case with a similarly situated path on the Isle of Skye that leads from Elgol to Camasunary. What you see above is the view towards those Welsh inland cliffs from near Castell Dinas Brân of a sunny Easter Sunday evening when I was lured out along paths and tracks while being reminded of previous wanderings that took me along them, mainly in 2005. Retracing old steps rarely is a wasted effort.
