Eglwyseg Mountain & Ffron Fawr, Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales

The above scene was captured late in the day of a Sunday in January 2014 and the golden light reflects this. My course on the way back to Llangollen from Moel y Gamelin had deviated from what momentarily was in my mind, but I knew where I was and was not so concerned. As it happened, I had a head torch anyway should my walk extend past sunset. Before all that, I was able to savour this view towards inland limestone cliffs that line the Offa’s Dyke Path for several miles. Since they do so, they get several names, including Eglwyseg Mountain. Ffron Fawr is a low-sized hill butting in at the right and is one of many around here in this buckled patch of countryside.
