Great Orme from Conwy Mountain, Conwy, Wales

There can be some wonderful colour on display in the month of August and walking the North Wales Path brought me across this. The scene just begged to be recorded on film and I couldn't resist. For all the world, you might be thinking that there's an island out in the sea and there are many that take on that likeness. However, in this case. It's still part of the Welsh mainland and a place for many holidaymakers too. What you are seeing is the Great Orme with Llandudno strung out along the coast underneath the higher places. For a place that promises leisure with a certain feeling of dignity to its establishments, it has a more devout history with the place being named after St. Tudno, a bringer of Christianity to the area.
