Llyn Teyrn, Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales

Llyn Teyrn, Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales

Given that you can see into the heart of the hills surrounding Snowdon as well Wales' highest mountain itself from the top of Moel Siabod, it should come as no surprise that you can see the Moel Siabod from an approach to Yr Wyddfa from the east. It might look very triangular from near Llyn Teyrn, but it has slab-sided and bouldered character too as I have discovered since. When this vista inspired me to record it on film, I was stood on the Miner's Track to the top of Snowdon with Llyn Llydaw, a reservoir, and Glaslyn, a corrie, to be passed before the real ascent was to begin in earnest, and it had its airier parts too.
