Tryfan & Llyn Ogwen, Ogwen Valley, Gwynedd, Wales

If you hadn't realised that Tryfan might be popular with scramblers and climbers, this image should provide a big hint. All that cragginess hasn't stopped hill walkers venturing up there either though there are some who want to re-measure it to see if really is one of Wales' 3000 foot (or 914.4 metre) high summits. Those doing of the Welsh hills of that height might have a vested interest in this, especially who'd like the task to be made easier because the ascent Tryfan of an out and back affair. This view is less lofty, coming as it does from the opposite side of Llyn Ogwen. Though it may not look that apparent, the A5 passes this way too, but you do wonder who'd use a road though such wild countryside as a thoroughfare. Occasionally, there are motorcycle accidents around here too and one left me wondering if my plans for getting home were about to be scuppered after one such visit to the area.
