False Creek as seen from Cambie Bridge, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Vancouver is not a place to go if you are wanting to view an architectural heritage akin to what is found commonly in a European city and this scene is typical of what you get. High rise buildings with huge coverings of glass are common, but that might be what some photographers relish in preference to older buildings. The newer blocks can offer opportunities, but I favour those that have been there longer. Much of what you above may have been triggered by the hosting of Expo 86 in Vancouver as much as the introduction of the Skytrain metro system. The geodesic glass dome remains a science centre to this day in keeping with the intent of that exhibition held decades ago.
