Alcatraz is one of those iconic spots that so many visit on a trip to San Francisco, yet I chose not to do so. Still, it is a place that you cannot miss seeing. Crissy Field is one such vantage and this photo was made from a passing sailing between Sausalito and San Francisco. My interests were less in seeing places that have been featured in cinema or popular literature but had more of a natural and peaceful feel to them.
