Anyone that visits Angel Island these days has to arrive at Ayala Cove, after coming by ferry from either Tiburon or San Francisco. It was from the latter of these that I came, sharing the boat with a group from the computer networking firm Cisco. There was an international young male fellowship group on there too, and I recalled seeing a briefing session beside the Ferry Building that was warning of the edgier parts of San Francisco. The ambience on Angel Island was a very different affair, and I was on a solo trip that sought quietude instead.
