Stinson Beach, California, U.S.A.

Sedentary use of beaches is not my preference, yet Stinson Beach offered somewhere for a lunching stop. This might have been near the coast, but there was heat to be felt in the absence of a sea breeze. Even the hiking under tree cover did little to get me away from that reality. My having fair skin put a stop to any illusions of tanning long ago, so any shade at all had its uses. Walking on soft sand is tiring anyhow.
