Some are sunseekers and, though I like having pleasant weather, I am not so keen on associated summertime heat. This is where Muir Woods and other forested areas offer respite. The concomitant shade may make it tricky for photographic even if it is good to be out of direct sunshine. There are quieter corners too for those fancying a less social experience and Mount Tamalpais State Park is adjoining for anyone seeking a longer stroll.
